The wildly popular No Laying Up "Donnybrook" is coming back in 2025 after a one-year hiatus and Pinehurst's star turn hosting the 2024 US Open!  34 Nest Members (and two members of NLU) will make their way to Pinehurst, NC for a weekend full of competitions, fantastic food, great company, and some of the best golf in the country. This year’s event continues the tradition of the Donnybrook but with a great group and an even better program than before. 

This year's experience includes a round on Tom Doak's brand new Pinehurst No. 10 course, along with a loop on No. 2, a spin around The Cradle, and an evening of putting and competition on Thistle Dhu. Beyond the golf, the event includes three nights at the Holly Inn for accommodations, breakfast each morning, two dinners, awards, and tee gifts. And of course, participants will compete for a spot at the 2025 Nest Invitational Tournament.

Registration will be open exclusively to Nest Members for three days, and then we will conduct a lottery drawing to determine the playing field.

REGISTRATION DETAILS

PARTICIPANTS

All Nest Members are welcome, regardless of ability level or gender. The only requirements are that you must be a Nest Member and over the age of 21. You can join the Nest by clicking here.

HANDICAPS

Participants must have a valid handicap index.


PAYMENTS

Your card will not be charged unless you are chosen in the lottery. Your registration includes a $300 non-refundable deposit (please see the cancellation policy for full details). 

SINGLE | DOUBLE OCCUPANCY

During registration, you will have the option to choose your package type. If you are chosen, you will receive a confirmation email with the next steps and access to information on how to find a roommate from the roster.

The lottery will open on Unknown Golf at 12:00 PM ET.

The lottery will close at 12:00 PM ET. At that time, 34 Nest Members will be randomly drawn and notified that they have been selected. Everyone else will remain on the waitlist.

Players will be invoiced based on their package type. Invoices are due by Dec 1, 2024. Check your calendars before registering!

You will receive an initial invoice from us the the first week in November. If you have not made your payment by EOD on December 1, 2024, we will assume you’ve canceled and open your spot to the waiting list. Those pulled from the waiting list will be given two weeks to pay.

FORMAT

The main tournament played using a Quota format. 

There will be competitions on The Cradle and Thistle Dhu for additional prizes and NIT spots!

CANCELLATIONS

Single Occupancy

- Cancellation before January 1, 2025 will receive a full refund minus $300.

- Cancellation after January 1, 2025 If the spot can be filled you will receive a full refund amount minus $300. If your spot cannot be filled you will forfeit any associated fees determined by Pinehurst Resort.

Double Occupancy 

- Cancellation before January 1, 2025 will receive a full refund minus $300 if a roommate can be found. Otherwise, you will receive a refund minus an additional $500 (this covers the cost for your roommate to be in a single occupancy room)

- Cancellation after January 1, 2025 - If your spot can be filled you will receive a full refund amount minus $300. If your spot cannot be filled, the same rules as above apply.





Frequently Asked Questions 

Are guests, spectators, friends, spouses invited?

Not this year. Due to limited space, only playing participants will be allowed for this one. 

Can I book a double occupancy and bring a spouse to hang out at the resort?

No. We ask that all rooms are occupied by participants only. Should you need help finding a roommate, we can help, or you can switch to a single occupancy room. 

Can I add additional days to my reservation?

No, at least not through us. You’ll need to book a separate reservation through Pinehurst directly.

Are there push carts available at Pinehurst?

Yes - they are available on all courses, complementary and given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please do not bring your own pushcart! Caddies are also available. 

What is not included in the package price?

The package does not include any travel to and from Pinehurst. Lunch, alcohol, caddie fees, and gratuity are also not included.
